What is the Press Attachés Club (www.presseattache.club)?
The Press Attaché Club is an association of press attachés from foreign embassies and international organizations, as well as other diplomats involved in public relations and public diplomacy. Local staff without diplomatic status are also welcome. (The Press Attaché Club is the successor to a former association of press attachés that was dissolved several years ago.
What does the Press Attaché Club do?
The club supports the work of press attachés through events and networking and promotes dialogue between diplomacy and the media.

Who can become a member?
Press attachés from foreign embassies and other diplomats involved in public relations and public diplomacy, as well as press representatives of international organizations, are invited to become members and thus part of a dynamic network. Local staff without diplomatic status and press representatives of relevant institutions are also welcome.

Annual membership costs €120 per person (only €10 per month). After submitting your membership application, you will receive an invoice and your club membership card.

The photo shows a diplo.cafe China Club (Adlon Hotel), where the press attachés met. Host Ewald König welcomed the diplomats and gave them an overview of diplo.news. The embassy staff also learnt about new developments in the printing of security documents.

diplo.cafe at the Haus der Bundespressekonferenz: the press attachés from the foreign embassies in Berlin had the opportunity to see the press centre and the room where the government press conferences are held three times a week. Afterwards, host Ewald König invited the group to his Berliner Korrespondentenbüro and spoke about the work of journalists and foreign correspondents in Berlin.The diplo.cafe is primarily used for networking, where there is a great need to catch up, especially after the coronavirus pandemic.
