Experiencing a government press conference up close: For this group of press attachés, visiting the “RegPK” at the Press House was one of the highlights of the media workshop. Among them were Catherine Gauthier from the Canadian Embassy; Edith Gonzalez from Mexico; Lubinda Kashewe, who is responsible for public relations at the Zambian Embassy, and Jocelyn Mutinta, who is responsible for tourism at the same embassy; Amal El Abd and Dina Rishmawi from the Palestinian Mission also took part, as did Francis Ngwenya from Zimbabwe and Držislav Uv Jevic from the Croatian Embassy.

The participants were given an overview of the German media landscape and tips on dealing with journalists and writing press releases.

After attending the government press conference, German diplomat Sophia Armanski from the Federal Foreign Office explained the structure of strategic communication, followed by tips for crisis communication from Dietrich Alexander, a long-time journalist, now representative of the agency “The Sky Writers” and author of a book on crisis communication.

The diplomats received a special certificate for their successful participation in the media workshop. A special one because the certificate is absolutely forgery-proof. The certificate was printed on paper using Durasafe technology provided by Swiss company LandQart. The high-security paper is used to print banknotes and passports — and the certificates of diplo.news.

The dates for the media workshops in 2026 are as follows:
