Namibia Officially Unveils New NAD 10 and NAD 20 Banknotes on Durasafe®

Antonio Riccio presents the new banknotes with Cindy Fillipus, Deputy Director Currency and Banking at the Bank of Namibia

Landquart, 24 July 2025 – Landqart AG is proud to support the next generation of Namibian banknotes. On Wednesday, 23 July 2025, the Bank of Namibia officially presented the new NAD 10 and NAD 20 banknotes to the public during a launch ceremony in Windhoek.

Both denominations are produced on the innovative security substrate Durasafe®, combining cutting-edge security with outstanding durability. The notes were printed by De La Rue, Landqart’s valued partner in this important national project.

“We are delighted that Durasafe® has been selected for the new NAD series and proud to have contributed together with De La Rue to this milestone achievement,” said Antonio Riccio, CCO of Landqart AG.

During the celebrations, Antonio Riccio also had the pleasure of meeting Cindy Fillipus, Deputy Director Currency and Banking at the Bank of Namibia. The following day, he was warmly received at the Bank by Sencia Rukata, Director of Banking Services, and Deputy Governor Ebson Uanguta, providing an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the new series.

With the introduction of the NAD 10 and NAD 20 banknotes, Namibia sets a clear signal for secure, modern, and durable currency.
